“Football is unpredictable, so it’s hard to predict if any African club will advance deep into the tournament. However, they’ve already surpassed expectations in their matches.”

He added: “Exposure isn’t the primary issue for African football. Many African leaders sit on FIFA committees, attend global matches, and understand top-tier football operations.

“The real challenge is closing the financial gap between our leagues and those in South America and Europe.

“Africa’s talent is undeniable, as seen in the last World Cup and matches like Senegal vs. England. The priority now is investing in infrastructure and ensuring league integrity.”
